- [학생실적] Department of Industrial Engineering Won Best Paper Awards and Best Project Awards for Two Years in a Row
- The Smart Factory Design & Operation Track of the Department of Industrial Engineering won the MOTIE (Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy)’s Award (1st place, two years in a row) and the Korea Productivity Center Chairman’s Award (2nd place) at the 2020 Smart Factory Research Paper Contest. They also received the MOTIE’s Award (1st place) at the 2020 Smart Factory Project Contest. At the Smart Factory Research Paper Contest, the MOTIE’s Award (1st place) was awarded to the paper, titled “Digital Twin Visualization for Smart Factory Cyber-Physical System in Dyeing Process,” by Hyun-chan Kim, Ji-hyun Bae, Yu-ho Son, and Prof. Sang Do Noh. This paper studied the optimal selection of digital twin visualization for the realization of the cyber-physical system of the dyeing process. To this end, the authors presented the concept, the scenario, and the framework of digital twin visualization, and the authors evaluated and identified the visualization methods applicable to manufacturing sites, such as POP terminals, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and holograms. In addition, a test bed similar to the actual work environment was built, and AHP evaluation experiments were conducted. Another paper, titled “A Reconfigurable and Flexible Jig for Flexible Assembly Smart Factories,” by Jinho Yang, Donggun Lee, Yooho Son, and Prof. Sang Do Noh, Hyunnam Kim with GM; Jongsu Lee and Youngsu Kim with SHINT; Younggyu Won with TrendSeoul received the Korea Productivity Center Chairman’s Award (2nd place). In this paper, the authors designed and developed a variable jig for variable flexible assembly corresponding to the assembly and production of various and complex products, and the effect of the developed variable jig was tested and verified. In particular, the paper received attention for its practical research conducted in close industry-university collaboration with schools, manufacturing companies, and solution companies. In addition, at the Smart Factory Project Contest, a project titled “simulation-based virtual data generation and defect prediction for digital twins,” by Moon-sik Kang, Jae-ho Kim, Hyun-chan Kim, Hee-young Park, Ah-reum Shim, with advisors Seok-ho Kang, Daeil Kwon, Sang Do Noh, Jong-seok Lee, and Dong-joon Lim was awarded the MOTIE’s Award (1st award). In this project, the authors set up a communication means between the virtual space and the control programs, collected the joint activity data from a welding robot, and designed and implemented a failure prediction system using artificial intelligence. - [학생실적] 산업공학과 스마트공장트랙, 스마트공장 우수논문경진대회와 프로젝트 경진대회에서 산업통상자원부장관상 2연패, 2관왕 수상 등 쾌거
- 스마트공장 우수논문경진대회 산업통상자원부 장관상(최우수상)과 한국생산성본부 회장상(우수상), 스마트공장 운영설계 전문인력양성사업 성과발표회 프로젝트 경진대회 산업통산자원부 장관상(최우수상) 수상 산업공학과 스마트공장운영설계트랙이 2020년 스마트공장 우수논문경진대회에서 산업통상자원부 장관상(최우수상)과 한국생산성본부 회장상(우수상)을, 스마트공장 운영설계 전문인력양성사업 성과발표회 프로젝트 경진대회에서 산업통상자원부 장관상(최우수상)을 수상하며 산업통상자원부 장관상 2관왕을 수상하였다. 특히 스마트공장 우수논문경진대회 장관상은 2019년에 이어 2연패 수상이다. 스마트공장 우수논문경진대회에서 산업통상자원부 장관상(최우수상)은 "염색가공 스마트공장 사이버물리시스템을 위한 디지털트윈 가시화" (석사과정 김현찬, 배지현, 박사과정 손유호, 지도교수: 노상도) 논문이 수상하였다. 이 논문은 염색가공 공정의 사이버물리시스템 구현을 위한 디지털트윈 가시화의 최적 방법 선정에 대한 연구를 담았다. 이를 위해 디지털트윈 가시화의 개념과 시나리오, 그리고 프레임워크를 제시하고, POP 단말기, 가상현실(VR), 증강현실(AR), 홀로그램(Hologram) 등 제조 현장에서 적용 가능한 가시화 방법을 평가, 선정하였다. 또한, 실제 작업 환경과 유사한 테스트 베드를 구축하고, AHP 평가 실험을 진행하였다. 아울러 "가변유연조립 스마트공장을 위한 가변형 지그" (박사과정 양진호, 이동건, 손유호, 지도교수: 노상도; 지엠테크니컬센터코리아 생산기술연구소 김현남; SHINT 제조기술부 이종수, 김영수; 트렌드서울 원영규) 논문이 한국생산성본부 회장상(우수상)을 수상했다. 이 논문에서는 다양하고 복잡한 제품의 조립 생산에 대응하는 가변유연조립을 위한 가변형 지그를 설계, 개발하였으며, 개발된 가변형 지그를 시범 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하였다. 특히 학교와 제조기업, 솔루션기업 들과의 긴밀한 산학협동으로 진행된 실용적인 연구로 높은 평가를 받았다. 또한 스마트공장 운영설계 전문인력양성사업 성과발표회, 프로젝트 경진대회에서는 "디지털트윈을 위한 시뮬레이션 기반 가상 데이터 생성 및 불량 예측" (석사과정 강문식, 김재호, 김현찬, 박희영, 심아름, 지도교수: 강석호, 권대일, 노상도, 이종석, 임동준) 프로젝트가 산업통상자원부 장관상(최우수상)을 수상했다. 이 프로젝트에서는 트랙에서 운영한 '데모공장 IIoT 시스템 및 실습' 수업을 통해 교육받은 OPC UA 기술 등을 활용, 가상 시뮬레이션 환경과 설비 제어 프로그램 사이의 통신 환경을 구축하고, 용접 로봇의 관절 데이터를 수집하여, AI 기술을 통해 제품 불량을 예측하는 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 스마트공장 우수논문경진대회와 스마트공장 운영설계 전문인력양성사업 성과발표회는 스마트공장 핵심 기술과 고도화된 스마트공장 운영설계 기술에 대한 연구 기반 조성 확대를 위해 산업통상자원부의 후원으로 매년 진행되고 있다. 출처: https://enzine.skku.edu/news/department-of-industrial-engineering-won-best-paper-awards-and-best-project-awards-for-two-years-in-a-row/

이차전지 상태변화를 반영한
잔여수명 예측기술 개발 - 공과대학 시스템경영공학과 권대일 교수 연구팀은 한국항공대학교 항공우주 및 기계공학부 최주호 교수 연구팀과 공동으로 이차전지 상태변화를 반영한 잔여수명 예측기술을 개발하여, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics (IF=7.515, Instruments & Instrumentation 분야 상위 0.78% 저널)에 논문으로 게재하였다. 휴대폰을 오래 사용하다 보면 완전 충전을 했음에도 새 휴대폰대비 사용시간이 조금씩 짧아짐을 느낀적이 있을 것이다. 이는 리튬이온 배터리 사용에 따른 충전, 방전이 반복됨에 따라 에너지를 저장하는 전기용량이 서서히 감소하는 capacity fade 현상으로 알려져있다. 대부분의 리튬이온 배터리는 충방전에 따른 전기용량의 감소 패턴이 어느 정도 일관성을 보이나, 일부 배터리에서는 특정 충방전 이후 급격한 용량 저하가 일어나 제품 사용시간이 짧아지고 나아가 사용자의 클레임을 유발한다. 본 연구에서는 정상 배터리뿐만 아니라 상태변화로 인한 전기용량의 급격한 용량저하가 일어나는 배터리의 잔여 수명 또한 정확하게 예측하는 기술을 개발하였다. 기존 배터리 잔여수명 예측 연구에 많이 사용되는 파티클 필터 방법은 정상 배터리의 전기용량 거동을 모델링하여 잔여수명 예측을 시도하나 급격한 용량저하와 같은 비정상 거동에 대해 대처할 수 없는 한계가 있다. 개발한 예측 기술은 전기용량 변화의 학습을 통해 전기용량 거동의 변화를 실시간으로 파악하고 모델을 업데이트하여 잔여수명 예측의 정확도를 높여 그 성능을 인정 받았다. 개발한 기술은 이차전지뿐만 아니라 향후 상태변화가 수반되는 시스템의 거동을 분석하고 잔여수명을 예측하는데 확장 가능하여, 엔지니어링 자산의 효과적인 건전성 관리에 큰 기여를 할 것으로 기대된다.
